Rider Training

Two people riding a red off-road vehicle on a dirt trail surrounded by trees.

Our goal is to caringly guide you to become safest and most proficient rider YOU can be, while having fun doing it. The best way to achieve this is through patient, private training at a pace and intensity to match your skill and confidence level.

CottonCo’s preferred Teaching / Training method follows a step-by-step progression.

We can also tailor your private training to whatever individual skill you would like to learn and become proficient in.

Beginners:

For beginners we teach, machine controls, basic body position, smooth starts and stops, wide turns, figure-8s easy trail riding, rules and regulations (laws).  Also checks for before, during and after the ride.

Intermediate:

Intermediate riders practice emergency braking, hill climb, uneven terrain, mud, group riding, communication, and navigation. Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting on and off the trail.

Advanced:

Advanced riders focus on technical terrain, recovery techniques, route planning, leadership, and emergency response. Riders should only move up when they can ride consistently and safely at the current level.
